This is the Trakehner Stallion "Mozart" at the Florida Dressage Derby. Mozart was imported from Holland by Vanda Werner and was European Champion three times. I rode Mozart and stood him at stud for many years. He was a very special horse!
This is the imported Trakehner gelding "Adriano" at my stable in Missouri. Pam Goodrich trained Adriano and I was fortunate to have been able to bring him back into competition after his retirement. Adriano was the Region 4 Fourth level champion with me at the age of 22! He was owned by Carol Eyerman and was a horse with tremendous character and stamina!
This is the Imported Trakehner Stallion "Pregelstrand" at the Venice show in Florida. Pregelstrand was Leslie Webb's mount for many years, and I was fortunate to be able to continue his training and showing while she started her family. Vanda Werner is Leslie's Aunt and imported Pregelstrand from Germany. Pregel loved his trail rides and showing off!
This is a TB gelding that I bought in Florida as a three year old. He was a Bold Ruler bred TB and his registered name was "Touch me Not". His barn name was "Rank Frank" so there is the clue! He was a wonderful horse once Gunnar Ostergaard showed me how to get him off the leg! I showed him all over Florida right along with the big guys, and even finished in the end of the year standings in eighth place! I named him "Moreno" after a policeman in Ecuador that had helped me with difficult horses! This horse had the most wonderful Passage!
This is another of my project horses, a Quarter Horse named "Sassy Bar Cat". I bought her from Karen Snape and I showed her under the name of "Marimba". Sassy was a handful and was fond of running off! One time I was showing her Third Level at the Palm Beach Polo Club and she ran away with me for two laps of the polo field! How I wished I was riding with shorter stirrups that day! We came back around and won the class!
This is Darius. I bought him from a woman sending him to an auction. He was a Warmblood cross and had a bad attitude. Just about everyone took a turn at trying to make him useful. I started him over at the beginning and drove him until he learned that there was a system and that it was a fair one. When I started riding him he progressed to Fourth Level very quickly and he was a wonderful ride. He never got over being mistrustful, but he was a great teacher!
